Meridian Manufacturing: Bin Fill Conveyor

Choosing a bin fill conveyor that only just reaches the bin can cost you capacity. Meridian Bin Fill Conveyors are available from 80 to 120 feet, giving you more room to match the conveyor angle to the bin instead of running it steeper than necessary.

Each model uses a 20-inch chevron belt enclosed in a 10-inch tube to move grain and seed gently at capacities up to 10,000 BPH. A four-way hydraulic swing hitch and collapsible hopper intake make positioning easier, while the heavy-duty undercarriage is built for transport around the bin site.

Use the model table to compare discharge heights at a 25-degree incline and fully raised as the angle does affect the capacity with the ideal operation at 20-25°.

Your Meridian dealer can help match the conveyor length to your bin height and site layout.

FAQ

Start with the bin diameter, eave height and the space available for positioning the conveyor. The conveyor should provide enough reach without requiring an unnecessarily steep operating angle. Use the model table to compare discharge heights at a 25-degree incline and fully raised, then confirm the fit with your Meridian dealer.

Capacity decreases as the conveyor angle increases. A conveyor may physically reach the bin at an angle greater than 25 degrees, but it won’t maintain the same throughput. Choosing enough conveyor length helps keep the operating angle lower and makes better use of the conveyor’s capacity.

Meridian Bin Fill Conveyors offer capacities up to 9,000 bushels per hour. Actual capacity will depend on the conveyor angle, commodity and operating conditions.

Yes. The 20-inch chevron belt provides gentle handling for grain and seed while maintaining the capacity needed for bin filling. It’s a good fit where limiting commodity damage matters.
